What can the bm-it data centre offer?
Security and Access Control.
To ensure a high level of security the datacentre has been fitted with a state of the art CCTV system. Door alarms are in operation and monitored 24/7 inside and outside the building. Access can only be gained with a security card and each customer rack has its own code and locking system.
Power to the max.
Even the most power hungry equipment can be satisfied at the bm-it data centre. Unlike other data centres who limit or charge for additional power bm-it data centre will provide 24 amps over a 3 phased supply as standard. Our power status across each rack is monitored 24/7. Each control panel, bypass switch is top of the range and can be isolated to backup for routine maintenance.
Remote Hands and build service
You don’t need to travel to us to reboot a server or change a cable, an on-site service is provided as standard to provide you with an able pair of hands for help with minor issues and problems with hardware. If you want bm-it to provide you with the necessary equipment such as servers we have reseller agreements with the majority of the best of breed manufacturers such as Dell and HP and with major distributors such as Ingram Micro and Computer 2000. Bm-it can provide consultancy, firewalls and configuration services.
Power Cooling System.
To maintain optimum hosting performance for customer equipment, the bm-it datacentre is equipped with a bespoke air cooling and handling system. Built with resilience in mind the bm-it data centre has seven individually built air cooling systems. Should one, two or even three systems fail optimum environmental temperature can still be maintained.
Eco-Friendly Fire Detection and Suppression System.
An intelligent “learning system” combined fire alarm and detector system has been installed at the bm-it data centre which is complemented by an FM200 inert gas discharge system. This system recognises what is happening in its environment and will monitor and alert depending on the threat. This enables bm-it data centre to suppress a fire before it causes any damage to the infrastructure, equipment or systems.
Resilient Power.
It is bm-it data centre’s aim to provide 100% up-time for it customers. This can only be done by providing a robust well planned and no expense spared power back-up system. A bespoke uninterrupted power supply (UPS) will maintain the power for up to twenty minutes during which time the diesel generator will be powered up and brought on-line. These systems are monitored 24/7 and will alert us in the event of a problem.
Rack Size.
All the racks offered by bm-it data centres are standard individually lockable 47u capacity. We have chosen a 47u rack to give more space for your money. Available from 1u to a full rack at sensible rates.
Backbone
Each rack has triple redundant power feeds, fibre presentation to the racks, no messy CAT5 and double redundant Cisco switches as standard. This is fed into a double redundant carrier grade Cisco blade chassis each blade replicated to provide redundancy.
Bandwidth.
The bm-it data centre has dual feed Tier 1 internet service provision across two carriers for resilience. Access can be provided from 512K to Gigabit. Leaseline, private circuits and separate internet connections can be provided by bm-it due to its Telecoms partner status with a Tier 1 carrier.
Pricing
There are no hidden costs. bm-it data centre pricing is simple to understand and well below market rate with no hidden costs. Pricing is based simply on size of the rack needed and the bandwidth connection required. There is an initial installation charge which includes support on-site for equipment delivery and installation.
The minimum contract term for Colocation and Rack space is 12 months.
Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity.
bm-it operate a bespoke disaster recovery and business continuity suite based at Bloxham Mill Business Centre adjacent to the bm-it data centre facility. This suite can be provided for a small daily, weekly, monthly charge fully prepared and ready for use within 2 hours.
